Minji Ro, COO, point guard, lover of deadlifts

“I’ve loved women’s sports since I was a kid so starting EOS and having an impact on women's financial independence and life after sports is a dream job for me”

As a co-founder and COO of Elites Optimizations Services, Minji is responsible for overseeing all operations, including technology, to develop and provide products for the professional athlete community.  Prior to EOS, she worked for 12 years at Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America Merrill Lynch within investment banking and equity derivatives.

EOS combines Minji’s love of sports and business acumen with a passion for women and the LGBTQ community. While in finance, she served as Co-chair for Goldman’s Pride month, managed the Women’s Video Conference Series (which was later brought over to Deutsche Bank) and also ran an innovative LGBTQ recruiting contest in which 70 teams of undergraduate students participated. Minji was recognized as being among the top 5% of performers in the Vice President population at Deutsche.

At Northwestern University, Minji authored a senior thesis entitled, “NBA vs WNBA: The Pay Disparity in Professional Basketball.” She was also the first paid intern at the WNBA’s Chicago Sky and received an offer to be their Manager of Finance and Operations. Minji recently launched the Associate Board for Athlete Ally, whose mission is to end homophobia and transphobia in sport.

Minji lives in New York City with her wife, Phillippa and schnauzer, Harry. While Minji enjoys playing basketball and is the former Commissioner for the NYC Gay Basketball League, Phillippa is a competitive marathon runner and Half Ironman triathlete.
